Story
I’m taking on an Ironman 70.3 — a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride, and a half marathon all in one day.
I’m not doing it just for the challenge, but for something far more important. I’m raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that helps people facing one of the toughest fights of their lives. Many of us have seen firsthand the impact cancer can have on individuals and families, and Macmillan is there every step of the way with practical, emotional, and financial support.
The training has been tough, and race day will be even tougher. There will be moments where it would be easier to stop — but I’ll be thinking of the people who don’t get that choice, and that’s what will keep me going.
